COPE Foundational Training
Description
Intended Audience: Clinicians new to COPE who are seeking a comprehensive introduction and training in the treatment. This training is ideal for providers who have prior experience working with patients with PTSD and/or SUD. Objective: To provide a comprehensive introduction to COPE, covering theoretical background, session-by-session content, and skill practice. Training includes: -A comprehensive overview of PTSD and substance use disorder comorbidity -Information on the theory and research supporting COPE -Training in empirically-supported techniques to reduce PTSD symptoms and substance use concurrently -Detailed guidance on session-by-session components -Session checklists and other practical tools to enhance implementation -Engaging learning methods, including didactic content, case examples, and interactive role-plays -A certificate of attendance upon completion Note. For more intensive training focused on prolonged exposure (PE) therapy, see the Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety (CTSA) at the University of Pennsylvania, which offers a 4-day intensive PE workshop and consultation leading to PE certification. Training requirements: -Internet and equipment: You must have reliable internet access and necessary equipment (e.g., computer, camera) at your home or office. -Private location: You must participate from a private, quiet location that is free from distractions. -Obtain the COPE Therapist Guide and Patient Workbook prior to the training. -Attendance commitment: Full attendance of the training workshop is required to receive an attendance certificate. -No recording: You must agree not to audio or video record any of the training. -Material use: Training materials provided to you are for your professional use only and may not be distributed to others. -Confidentiality and HIPAA compliance: As patient videos may be shown during the training, you must adhere to all applicable rules of confidentiality and HIPAA compliance, including refraining from audio or video-recording any portion of the training.

Cancellation Policy
Requests for cancellations/refunds must be submitted at least 60 days prior to the scheduled training or consultation program. Refunds will be issued minus a $50 processing and administration fee. The request a refund, please email COPEforPTSDSUD@gmail.com. No refunds will be issued for requests made after the 60-day deadline.
